What is Ornelle?

An app that tells you what to wear. You describe the occasion — who it is for, what kind of event, the venue, the time of day, how long you will be there — and it writes a brief: a colour for each piece, the garment, the jewellery, the hair, the shoes, and why each was chosen.

Where do the recommendations come from?

Written style rules and colour tables inside the app, not a model and not a server. The same answers always produce the same outfit, which is why a brief can explain itself: every choice traces back to the formality the occasion asks for, the light in the venue, the season, or the temperature.

Why does it ask for my location?

To fetch the weather for the day you are dressing for. It asks iOS for reduced accuracy rather than your exact position, because a forecast does not need more. If you refuse, the app asks you to set the temperature and conditions by hand and everything else works the same.

The weather looks wrong

Tap Set the weather by hand in the questionnaire and enter what it is actually doing. Your numbers are then used instead of the forecast until you switch back with Use the forecast.

Why can't I change the date on an instant outfit?

An instant brief is about today. Dressing for another day is what planning an event is for — that one is saved, keeps its own date, and improves as the day approaches.

My planned event says it was built from past years

Forecasts only reach about ten days ahead. Beyond that the app uses what those dates have been like in past years and labels the brief accordingly. It rebuilds itself with the real forecast once the date comes within reach — no allowance is charged for that.

What does scoring do?

It judges the outfit you actually chose against the occasion you chose it for, across colour, garment, jewellery, and footwear, and explains where it lost points. It is offered while an event is still ahead; once the day has passed the score you gave stays on record, but the app will not sell you a verdict you can no longer act on.

What is the lookbook?

The record of what has already been worn. Outfits collect there as you ask for them, and a planned event joins them once its date has passed. The app keeps the most recent ones automatically and drops the oldest; anything you mark as kept stays regardless.

Where did an old outfit go?

Probably the trim. The lookbook holds the last ten outfits on the free tier and fifty with a subscription, plus everything you kept. Marking a look as kept exempts it — five keeps on the free tier, unlimited with a subscription.

How much is Premium?

$5.99 a month or $39.99 a year. Without it you get four outfits, one planned event, and one score each month, and the count resets on its own. There is no free trial that turns into a subscription, and no weekly plan.

I subscribed but it is not unlocked

Use Restore a purchase on the subscription screen, and make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase. Subscriptions are tied to your Apple Account, not to the device.

How do I cancel?

In your Apple Account settings, not in the app — Apple handles all subscriptions. Open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Ornelle links to the same page from its own Settings screen. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps access until the end of the period you have paid for.

What happens to my lookbook if I cancel?

Nothing you kept is deleted. The app stops accepting new keeps beyond the free tier's five, and its automatic history returns to the shorter length.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account. The developer cannot issue refunds directly.

Is my data backed up anywhere?

No. Everything lives on your device and goes when the app is deleted. Syncing across devices is planned but is not in this version.
