DiskSweep for macOS

Support

Questions, problems, or feedback — email mashqur.himel@gmail.com. Please include your macOS version and what you were doing when the problem occurred.

Where did my cleaned files go?

DiskSweep asks before every cleanup and offers two choices. Move to Trash keeps everything recoverable until you empty the Trash. Delete Permanently removes the items immediately and cannot be undone. The cleanup report tells you which was used.

Space was not freed after cleaning

If you chose Move to Trash, the files still occupy disk space until the Trash is emptied. Empty the Trash from Finder to reclaim it.

DiskSweep cannot see a folder

DiskSweep runs in Apple's App Sandbox and can only inspect your Downloads folder plus folders you explicitly grant from the system file picker. Open the folder access panel in the app to grant, change, or remove permissions.

I paid but Pro is not unlocked

Open the DiskSweep Pro panel and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by DiskSweep. Open Apple's subscription settings, or go to System Settings, click your name, then Media & Purchases, then Manage. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged again.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account. The developer cannot issue refunds directly.

What does the lifetime unlock include?

A one-time purchase that never renews and unlocks the same features as a subscription.
