Sameish for iOS
Terms of Use
Last updated September 2026
The agreement
Sameish is an iPhone and iPad app published by Mashqur Habib Himel. Downloading or using it means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
The app is also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app distributed on the App Store and can be read at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, Apple's takes precedence.
What the app is
Sameish scans the photos, videos, and files on your device and groups the ones that are identical, along with the photos that merely look alike. It reports what it found; removing anything is always your decision. Nothing is deleted unless you select it and confirm.
Deleting is permanent
Items you confirm for removal are deleted through the system, and photos and videos go to Recently Deleted where iOS keeps them for a limited time. Once that window passes, or for files removed outside the photo library, the removal cannot be undone by the app. Review a group before confirming it, and keep a backup of anything you care about. Look-alike groups in particular contain photos that are similar but not identical, so the choice of which to keep is yours alone.
Free use
Scanning is free, and so is reviewing everything found — including the look-alike groups and the space they occupy. Deleting identical, byte-for-byte duplicates is free as well. These allowances may change in future versions.
Premium
Sameish Premium unlocks clearing the look-alike groups and working through every group at once. It is offered at $9.99 per year as an auto-renewable subscription, or $29.99 once as a lifetime unlock. Prices are shown in your local currency inside the app and may vary by region. There is no free trial that becomes a subscription, and no weekly plan.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings — on your device, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription remains active until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase that does not renew.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by the developer. Requests are made at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What happens if a subscription ends
Scanning, reviewing, and clearing identical duplicates continue to work as they do on the free tier. Nothing you have already deleted is affected, and no photo or file is ever removed because a subscription lapsed.
Your content
Your photos, videos, files, scan results, and settings are yours and stay on your device. The app has no account, no server, and no analytics; the developer has no access to any of it and claims no rights over it. Backing up your library is your responsibility.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law or Apple's terms.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including a group you cleared or a file you chose to delete.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the app changes. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top revised. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.
