Clear the copies. Photos, videos, files.
Sameish finds the duplicates cluttering your phone — the identical copies, and the photos that merely look alike. It shows you what it found, explains why each group is a group, and then waits. Nothing is ever deleted without you saying so.
Everything runs on the device. Your photos are read to compare them and are never uploaded, there are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Items stored only in iCloud are skipped rather than quietly downloaded.
What it does
Identical
Photos, videos, and documents compared by their actual contents rather than their names. A cheap pre-filter on size and dimensions means only plausible twins are ever read in full, so a large library finishes quickly.
Look-alike
Two shots of the same moment are not the same file — a single changed pixel is enough. Sameish compares photos by how they look as well, catching burst shots, resaved copies, and repeated screenshots that byte matching can never find.
Private
No servers, no account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Scanning happens entirely on the device, and items that live only in iCloud are reported as skipped rather than silently downloaded.
Careful
Nothing is pre-selected. Each group marks the copy worth keeping and leaves the choice to you. Photos go to Recently Deleted; files do not, and the app says so plainly before removing one.
Pricing
Every scan looks for both kinds of duplicate, and shows you everything it found — including the look-alikes, with the space they are taking up. Finding costs nothing.
Deleting the identical copies is free too. Premium is for clearing the look-alike groups and for working through every group at once, and it costs $9.99 a year or $29.99 once. There is no free trial that quietly becomes a subscription, and no weekly plan.
Privacy
Sameish has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server to send anything to. Your photos, videos, and documents are read on the device in order to compare them, and are never transmitted anywhere.
The app stores fingerprints of what it has already scanned so a second scan does not repeat the work, along with your most recent results and your settings. All of it lives in the app's own storage and goes when the app is deleted.
